Nel 2019 cercando un modo per rendere la sostenibilità del progetto di riuso non solo ambientale ma anche sociale, abbiamo iniziato un progetto di inclusione, formazione e social design insieme a Linaria con rifugiati e richiedenti asilo.
In 2019, looking for a way to make the sustainability of the reuse project not only environmental but also social, we started a project of inclusion, training and social design together with Linaria with refugees and asylum seekers.
Il brand Foo Reuse Design progetta oggetti utili riusando materia esistente, come la plastica monouso delle bottiglie, i jeans e gli abiti in generale. Il suo scopo è quello di mostrare come un nuovo approccio alla materia, il riuso degli oggetti esistenti, sia una delle strade da percorrere in futuro per ridurre il consumo di risorse finite e per affrontare il problema dello smaltimento di ciò che dismettiamo.
Alla base del progetto c'è uno sguardo ottimista e concreto alle problematiche ambientali, quello che è in grado di trasformare un problema in una risorsa attraverso la rielaborazione in forme nuove dell'esistente.
Foo reuse design vuole realizzare questo progetto attraverso un approccio sostenibile, con una particolare attenzione all'inclusione sociale e al rispetto dell'ambiente naturale. Per questa ragione ha scelto di far produrre i propri oggetti a rifugiati e richiedenti asilo che, grazie ad un progetto sociale di inclusione e social design di Linaria, trovano nel lavoro legato al design sostenibile, un'opportunità di lavoro e di inserimento nella vita civile davvero importanti.
The Foo Reuse Design brand designs useful objects by reusing present materials, such as disposable plastic bottles, jeans and clothes in general. Its purpose is to show how a new approach, reusing existing objects, is a way towards the future to reduce the consumption of finished resources and to face the problem of disposing used objects.
In the foundation of the project, there is an optimistic yet realistic view on environmental problems, where we are capable of transforming a problem into a valuable resource by reworking the existing into new forms.
Foo reuse design wants to carry out this project through a sustainable approach, with particular attention to social inclusion and respect for the natural environment. For this reason it has chosen to have its objects produced by refugees and asylum seekers who, thanks to a social project of inclusion and social design by Linaria, find in the work linked to sustainable design, an opportunity for work and integration into civil life. really important.
Linaria è un’associazione non profit nata nel 2011 a Roma grazie all’esperienza maturata in tanti anni di attività e studio sulla rigenerazione di giardini e spazi urbani abbandonati, degradati o sottoutilizzati in una continua ricerca di soluzioni concrete e sostenibili.
Nel 2013, Linaria ha avviato FRUTTA URBANA, il progetto di mappatura e raccolta della frutta che cresce in città e legato alla realizzazione di nuovi frutteti urbani. Dal 2018 a inizio 2020 ha gestito e contribuito a fondare MEDITERRANEA, l’associazione che lavora con un gruppo di richiedenti asilo e rifugiati acquisendo nuove competenze su inclusione, formazione e social design.
Linaria is a non-profit association founded in 2011 in Rome thanks to the experience gained over many years of activity and study on the regeneration of abandoned, degraded or underused gardens and urban spaces in a continuous search for concrete and sustainable solutions.
In 2013, Linaria launched URBAN FRUIT, the mapping and harvesting project of fruit that grows in the city and linked to the construction of new urban orchards. From 2018 to early 2020 he managed and contributed to found MEDITERRANEA, the association that works with a group of asylum seekers and refugees, acquiring new skills in inclusion, training and social design.

Forse ancora peggiore dell'inquinamento causato dall'uso scellerato della plastica è quello causato dai tessuti. La "fast fashion" imperante ci stimola ad un uso molto limitato nel tempo di abiti utilizzabili per poter comprarne degli altri.
Noi riusiamo abiti per produrre oggetti utili, come borse, porta computer, shopping bag e accessori.
